CVT-FE vs Standard CVTF
CVT-FE uses a lower-viscosity base compared to standard CVTF or CVT-TC. This reduces drag within the transmission, improving fuel efficiency. Only use CVT-FE in transmissions specified for this fluid — do not substitute for CVT-TC or other CVT applications. Older Alphard/Vellfire (2008–2015, 2AZ-FE engine) uses CVT-TC, not CVT-FE.
